2024 Ford Ranger Models, Interior, Price

2024 Ford Ranger Models, Interior, Price As demonstrated by its appearance, the new Ranger’s origins are multinational. As expected from a pickup, its body is upright and practical, but its windshield has a higher slope, and the “power bar” featured on larger Ford F-Series pickups is missing. The cabin of the Ranger would blend in with any Ford automobile, with a familiar layout of climate control buttons and a large touchscreen for entertainment. A 4.2-inch radio screen is standard, but an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be added.

The Ranger comes in four-door and extended cab configurations, with SuperCab models having a 5-foot bed and SuperCrew models having a 6-foot bed. A 2.3-liter turbo-4 with 272 horsepower and a 10-speed automatic transmission powers the new Ranger. Rear-wheel drive is standard on all trucks, with four-wheel aim available as an option. The suspension on off-road vehicles has been fine-tuned. A locking rear differential is offered as an option on all trim levels.

2024 Ford Ranger Redesigned

The XLT improves the exterior design by adding sport bucket seats, a CD player, and a 60/40-split bench seat inside. The base LX comes standard with manual side mirrors, roll-up windows, black vinyl flooring, and air conditioning. The Sport variant comes with mud flaps and upgraded wheels, further improving the Ranger’s appearance. Step bars are standard on Sports Super Cab trucks to protect vital components on the truck’s underbody, while skid plates are standard on 4-wheel drive Sports Super Cab trucks.

There are standard safety features like airbags for the driver and front passenger. There are also seatbelt pretensioners, load-limiting retractors, driver seat position, crash severity sensors, side intrusion door beams, tire pressure monitoring system, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, SecuriLock Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS), and AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control. These are only some of the common features.

Interior

Despite its 2019 debut in the United States, the current Ford Ranger has been available in other markets since 2011, and the inside shows its age. The cabin is overly trimmed with hard, cheap-looking plastics, and the styling is archaic and straightforward. Most panels appear sturdy and should withstand normal wear and tear. Still, they don’t offer any Ranger design points, especially compared to newcomers like the pricey Hyundai Santa Cruz.

For the 2024 Ranger, there are two different infotainment systems to choose from. The most straightforward setup consists of a 3.5-inch display with several tactile buttons and knobs. This is a specific system with restricted features. It contains popular smartphone connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, clear menus, and quick responses that make it easy to use while driving. Worse yet, it’s not user-friendly. We propose upgrading to the currently available 8-inch touch screen.

Engine

Ford’s 2.3-liter engine is a terrific powerplant. It debuted in the crazy Focus RS and is now standard in the Mustang. The Ranger develops 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. It offers various capabilities, depending on how you tweak it. The main goal was to give it some low-level grunt, with some performance potential for good measure.

Some may see it as a burden that does not have a manual transmission. On the other hand, an automatic transmission makes more sense, given the vehicle’s principal purpose. Switching gears is one less thing to worry about when off-roading or towing. Downshifting is a tad clunky in Sport mode, but that’s hardly the point of a pickup truck. The Ranger’s powertrain feels more than sufficient in other conditions, such as going along the highway or hauling a trailer.

2024 Ford Ranger Release Date and Price

The 2024 Ford Ranger has a $25,285 base price, which is about average for the compact pickup truck class. The price climbs to $29,335 for the mid-range XLT trim, and it jumps to $33,375 for the Lariat trim.
